From Peel schools to community leadership, Khushpal knows what it takes to make a difference.
Khushpal Singh Pawar was raised in Brampton and educated in Peel schools. In his final year of high school, he was elected as Student Trustee, representing over 20,000 students at the Peel Board in important decisions affecting their schools. This is also when he founded Peel Elevate, Peel's largest Bhangra and Hip-Hop dance competition for secondary students.
Khushpal earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, followed by a Master's degree in Urban Planning, while working full-time in municipal and provincial government and completing internships at some of Canada's top planning and consulting firms.
Khushpal understands firsthand the challenges facing families in this community – and he's committed to serving the community he calls home.
